Dancing at Lughnasa is a memory play focusing on the resilience of a family of women and the many changes they face, cultural, economic, and religious.

Set in Ireland a man looks back on his childhood and one summer in particular the hot summer of 1936

His mother and her four sisters live together and just manage to make ends meet. Their elder brother , a missionary priest, has returned from Africa, talking of pagan ways and confusing their world of certainty.

This autobiographical play was written by the late , great Irish playwright Brian Friel. The characters he draws are presented to us so sympathetically with all their flaws and strengths

EUAN played Father Jack, the missionary priest, whose return to Donegal was the catalyst for so many occurrences in the play.
